Hand printed and painted block print-Kyle owe’s his inspiration for this image to his friend Larry Brown who introduced him to the work of Beatrice Wood. When he first saw a photo of her Luster Chalice, he quickly sketched it as the head of priestly figure. The drawing became this print. Kyle endeavored to express Vintras in ecstatic reception of the Holy Spirit, emanating as Blood and Water, the Twin Powers which redeem and lift up the Human Spirit. A 5″ by 8″ hand painted, hand printed linocut matted at 11″ by 14″-This image began as a sketch reflecting upon a verse from Ezekiel which William Blake cited in a letter to his friend Thomas Butts: “If all the World should set their faces against This, I have Orders to set my face like flint (Ezekiel 3:9) against their faces, & my forehead against their foreheads.” “This,” in the above sentence, refers to Blake manifesting his Vision through the Prophetic Work, Milton. From this jump off point, the image began to express a Connective Link to what Blake calls The Poetic Genius and what others might call The
Higher Self or True Will. There are certainly more ideas present but Kyle shall leave off on the comment as the image is no longer his own and now belongs to the experience of the viewer. This is a very small edition of 10 prints.
